Pinnacles Campground offers tent camping and RV sites. The campsite is nice, but watch out for raccoons – they run rampant on the campground. Make good use of the food storage and in case you’re in need, the campground store sells alcohol.
Pinnacles Campground is located in the unique Pinnacles National Park, 32 miles south of Hollister, California.
You can make a reservation at Recreation.gov or risk a walk-in. The walk-up process involve scoping out the campground first and take note of the site number that is available (a note will be indicated w/ dates for the reserved sites). After, return to the campground store to make a reservation. We did a walk-up early in the day and found a beautiful secluded campsite at Loop C.
Swimming pool access and plenty of of picnic tables spread around the state park.
Close proximity to trails and you can start the hike from the campground. You also have the option to take a shuttle or short drive to the trails.
